SCROLL 02: Quests

Update 6/20: Due to some printing problems that annoyed/shamed me, I decided to make the digital version of this issue free. Sincere apologies to anyone who was dissatisfied. --rdb

Cover Story

For the 25th anniversary of Dragon Quest, we've gone all-out with a celebratory double cover story. First, the origins of the JRPG before Dragon Quest came along, including the Dungeons & Dragons fans that were inspired to make their own PC RPGs, and the Japanese creators that were inspired by them. Then, a full recap of all nine Dragon Quest games, featuring essays on the sequels and their places the series' history, alongside illustrations from talented independent artists.

Oh! Another one! I love you! Really glad to see that your employment hasn't gotten in the way of this, and I'm especially excited about this issue's subject. So this was almost dead on 3 months after the first issue, is that a time frame we can hope for in the future? Not that I would want a labor of love like this ruled and ruined by deadlines, I'm just looking for a peek into your thoughts on schedule.

I LOVE the Dragon Quest series! Just got into it recently, with #5, then #9, then #4, and right now I'm playing #6. I picked up #'s 7 & 8 off ebay too.
Consider this issue bought!
